BMW Dynamic LED Audi Style Sweep Indicator Fitting Instructions
If you are looking to modify / enhance your BMW to have the Dynamic LED Audi Style Sweep Indicators on the wing mirrors then fitting is easy. At the same time you can also replace mirror cover with a colour, carbon or M style. This change takes minutes per side.

The indicator unit itself is relatively uncomplicated and can be removed and replaced without much effort.
The first thing you need to move the mirror glass to the maximum position to allow it to be carefully extracted with a little force. Use a plastic trim removal tool under the glass mirror and it will pop off.
Once the glass is off you now need to remove the wing mirror cover and this is held in by 3 clips that if you squeeze together will allow the cover to come off easily using the trim removal tool. Note that on M cars with carbon these are held in by screws.
Now we need to remove the 4 screws holding the unit together to allow the indicator module to be removed.
A Torx T10 screwdriver bit is required. It is also important to note the 2 different-sized screws used. Screws 2 and 3 are black and screws 1 and 4 are silver - if this helps.

Now we need to gently pull the base of the mirror unit apart to release the indicator module. Note, do not fully remove the bottom area, just pull it enough to release as this makes it easier to put back together.
Place the new Audi Style LED module into the bottom housing.
Now push the bottom housing back together and it will click into place with a gentle squeeze. and then the reverse actions need to take place. Refit the 4 screws and the mirror cover is then ready to be refitted and then the glass mirror unit.
